The Zither's Score

Yan Qiansui's fight is conducted like music: attack strings resolve on musical phrases, flashes land as accents, and the whole duel runs on her tempo. Fighting on your own rhythm loses; fighting on hers — reading the phrases, acting on the resolutions — turns the duel fair.

Rhythm Discipline

Like Yuzan in the village, the maiden punishes mashing with structural precision. The transferable skill from both fights is the same: watch the phrase, act on the accent, rest in the hold.

Step-by-Step Strategy

Step-by-Step

Learn the score with one life: her phrases repeat. Parry the accented blue flashes, dodge the red ones on the same beats, and use the held pauses — her longest rests — for switch-resets and short combos. Take the execution on every guard break; her recovery after a break is the fight's most generous window.

Play with sound on for this one. The zither is not decoration — the audio cues carry the timing that the visual flash system also encodes.
