Boss Mechanics

Sledgehammer Physics

Giant-class bosses pay for power with long recoveries.

Wan Jun is the game's giant template done right: committed overheads, ground-shaking area attacks, and reach that makes most of his arena unsafe. The hammer swings are slow enough to read but heavy enough that one blocked hit costs real Sha-Chi — and one missed dodge costs more.

The Coppermaul's Openings

Giants pay for power with recovery: every whiffed overhead and every hammer-stuck-in-ground moment is a full punish window. The fight is a rhythm of respect-and-punish — respect the active frames, punish the recovery.

Step-by-Step Strategy

Step-by-Step

Stay mobile: directional dodge the overheads (never block them), and punish the stuck-hammer recoveries with your heaviest strings. His area attacks teach the same lesson Peng Meng's smoke did — some attacks are movement problems, not guard problems. When his guard breaks, take the execution; the Bashpole Phantom Edge drops on the kill.

The Bashpole (a slow, heavy-hitting Phantom Edge) is worth the fight on its own — and it counts toward the 20+ Phantom Edges the game tracks.
