Quick Answer: What Should Steam Buyers Know?
Phantom Blade Zero launches on Steam at $59.99 (regional pricing applies), with a $10.00 Deluxe Edition Upgrade as the only DLC. The build supports Steam Achievements (66), Steam Cloud saves, Family Sharing, full controller support (DualShock/DualSense native, Steam Input API), and a deep accessibility list: adjustable text size, custom volume controls, adjustable difficulty, subtitle options and stereo sound. There is no multiplayer tier to choose from — the listing is single-player, full stop.
| Feature | Status |
|---|---|
| Price | $59.99 USD / ¥268.00 CN (launch, no discount — dual-region API check) |
| Deluxe Edition | $69.99 as a bundle — or $10.00 to upgrade an existing copy |
| DRM | Denuvo Anti-Tamper (per the Steam listing's DRM notice) |
| Cloud saves | Yes — Steam Cloud |
| Family Sharing | Yes |
| Controllers | Full support incl. DualSense, Steam Input API |
| Accessibility | Adjustable text/difficulty, custom volume, subtitle options |
| Co-op / PvP | None — single-player only |
Launch Week in Numbers
The launch was loud. Steam concurrency peaked around 398,500 players in the first days — top-tier territory for a premium single-player release — and the review wave landed ahead of launch with Metacritic 88 (PS5 and PC) and a 91 "Mighty" average on OpenCritic, the highest-rated Chinese-developed game on record and a declared Game of the Year contender. Critics' shared criticisms: story execution and some PS5 performance roughness. Steam user reviews opened positive (an 86% English-language positive rate in the first-day snapshot); by November 1 the aggregate had firmed to Very Positive, 88% across 3,875 reviews (Steam store aggregate), and the concurrent-player curve suggests the launch momentum is carrying.
Editions: Standard vs Deluxe
The Steam listing carries two purchase shapes: the Standard Edition at $59.99, and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99 — existing owners can add the same Deluxe content through the Deluxe Edition Upgrade DLC for $10.00, which is the only DLC on the listing (no season pass, no expansion placeholder). Before deciding, read the current itemization on the store page; the base game is complete as sold, and every post-launch roadmap item applies to it.
